A different race, with race for life!!

All dressed festively, like Santa Clauses, we will start from various locations and converge in the courtyard of Makarios Hospital. There we will sing Christmas carols and distribute gifts to children battling cancer and hospital staff.

Santa Clauses will be led by experienced runners, cyclists, etc. and we will move in groups on public roads and on the sidewalks and following traffic rules. The pace will be slow and “festive” for everyone to follow regardless of ability and endurance, while the total distance covered by runners, walkers, cyclists, skaters,  etc. varies between 5 – 7 kilometers. The starts will be as follows:

All groups are expected to arrive at the courtyard of Makarios Hospital between 09:50 – 10:00. There, accompanied by a musical group of students of the Music School of the Pancyprian Gymnasium and students of KASSA College, we will sing for the children and the medical staff and give gifts.

At the end of our choral visit to Makarios Hospital, all participants will head through Acropolis – Nikis and Makarios avenues to Eleftherias Square, where there will be a short musical stop and then we will end up at the pedestrian street of Ledra Street (Kathodon restaurant) where hot soup and wine will be offered to all participants, while an unplugged music party with songs and dance will take place.

All proceeds from registrations and participations will be donated to the Elpida Foundation, while organizations and companies can deposit their contributions directly into the ELPIDA Foundation account.  Registrations will only be made online through http://www.santarun.com.cy  website until December 24, 2023.

Upon arrival at the start areas, runners will be given Santa Claus caps.
