Specifically designed for trail lovers and beginner trail runners the course combines asphalt, forest roads and trail; a magnificent picturesque overseeing the occupied Morphou gulf area and the plains of Mesaoria as well as the mountainous area of Troodos, will compensate the runners for the hardship. The runners will start the race right at the Ayios Antonio’s church and following a 700 meters asphalt road the runners will be enroute to the village exit and to the forest road leading to the EOKA hideouts, at the 4.2 km mark. At the hideouts the runners will turn due southeast continuing to the most difficult and demanding section of the course, reaching the Selladi Tou Karamanli (7.29 km) natural trail will turn east down a steep trail reentering the village enroute to the finish line at the village center. The trail runners will reach the highest point at the 4.68 km mark, with an altitude of 1,236 meters.  At the 5,31 km mark starts the longest uphill for 540 meters, having past already the steepest uphill (-26.7%)  at the 4.86 km mark.

Along the way there will be trained volunteers (Emergency First Responders) and directional signs ensuring that all trail runners reach the finish line. The trail runners have to check for the race at least 15 minutes prior to the start time.

The runners will receive a finishers medal at the finish line with their time recorded with our new MyLaps  Timing System (BIB number & timing chip). During the race there will be refresments and fruit as well as drinks and traditional delicacies at the finish line curtesy of the Spilia Community Council
