LAZANIAS TRAIL
A challenging 36.4km race with long uphill and narrow paths for demanding and experienced runners who will take the challenge on Saturday, April 1, 2023 and show up at the starting line by the church of Lazanias village at 08:00 am. The runners will participate in a unique race that will combine through its routes, the incomparable beauty and view of the area, the paths of our modern history coupled with the Byzantine years of the Komnenos Dynasty with the Monastery of Machairas and the Frankish period, the unique traditional architecture of the village
The route will follow forest roads, nature trails and in some instances asphalt road; with long uphill sections will challenge the runners at some instances. Details of the route can be found at https://www.plotaroute.com/route/2147823

The route will be clearly marked with visible directional signs as well as plastic cones and plastic tape are needed.
PARTICIPATION FEE AND FREE BUS TRANSFER
The participation fee for the race is €27.50 and includes a traditional breakfast upon arrival of the runners with coffee, rusks, olives, halloumi, tomatoes and cucumber. Refueling stations en the route where fruit and water will be offered, whereas at the finish line runners will be receiving a finisher’s medal.
Special prices will be offered for team participations, clubs, National Guard, Police – Fire Brigade, the British Forces, United Nations and UNFICYP personnel, while conscript national guard personnel can participate free of charge.
FREE BUS TRANSFER
In collaboration with our Strategic Partners and Sponsors, the Cyprus Public Transport free transportation will be offered at the day of the race to the runners from Nicosia to and from Lazanias back to the city. Start and return times will be announced in due course
REGISTRATIONS
Registrations can be made on the race website www.ntrails.cy starting on Thursday February 9th until Thursday March 30th, 2023.
