Route Description:
Course Highlights:
- Start/Finish: The race begins and concludes at the historic centenarian oak tree, a symbol of Kato Pyrgos, located on the main village road.
- Initial Segment: Runners will traverse a paved road leading to the dry riverbed of the Katouris River, flanked by lush vegetation providing ample shade.
- Ascent: Upon reaching the Katouris River dam, participants will embark on an uphill journey through forest roads and trails, encountering steep slopes and firebreak zones.
- Panoramic Views: The route offers breathtaking vistas of the Pyrgos Bay with its deep blue waters and surrounding landscapes.
- Descent: After passing through the village of Pano Pyrgos, runners will descend back to the main road leading to the finish line.
