The Nicosia Pedestrian Streets Shop Owners Association and the RuNicosia (Non-Profit) proudly present the RuNicosia Race, an exciting chapter of the running events in our city. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the historic center, this race offers an unforgettable experience for athletes ready to embrace the challenge and push their limits.

- Prizes: Trophies for the first 3 finishers across men and women categories.
- Open to All: Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a weekend jogging enthusiast, or completely new to the trails, this race is for everyone! Families with young children, including those with strollers or little adventurers eager to explore, are welcome to join the fun. Corporations can form teams to foster camaraderie and embrace the spirit of healthy competition. Even furry friends are invited—bring along your well-behaved pets to share the experience. RuNicosia is more than just a race; it’s a celebration of community, inclusivity, and the joy of movement for all ages and abilities.

Start the year with energy and excitement at RuNicosia, the first running event of 2025 in Cyprus, happening on Sunday, January 12, 2025. Organized by the Association of Pedestrian Street Shop Owners of Nicosia in collaboration with RuNicosia, the Municipality of Nicosia, and other partners, this race offers a unique opportunity to experience the beauty of Nicosia’s historic center.

Race Distances:
- 6.25 km: Perfect for new runners, walkers, families with strollers, and pet lovers.
- 12.5 km: A challenge for experienced runners looking to push their limits.
This year’s revamped route showcases Nicosia’s charm like never before, starting from the heart of the city at the Nicosia Municipality Building. It winds through the iconic pedestrian streets, crosses the impressive Eleftheria Square, and stretches from the Paphos Gate to the Kolokasi Opening. Participants will enjoy a truly unique experience combining fitness, history, and the lively ambiance of Nicosia’s city center.

- Opens: Wednesday, December 4, 2025
- Closes: Wednesday, January 8, 2025
- BIB Collection: Saturday, January 11, from 09:00 – 12:00 at the Eleftheria Square Offices (Solomou Square underground passage, west end of Eleftheria Square).

- 6.25 km: €17.50
- 12.5 km: €20.00
